Pontoon Game 3 – We have a winner!
After a nailbiting finale we finally have a winner after 12 weeks of Pontoon Game 3. With DAVE AT HARLOW having bust way back in Week 9 with Notts County, the second team to overstep the mark was Dagenham & Redbridge who started Tuesday evening on 19, progressed to 21 – and then added two late goals to move on to 23. Sorry Varns – you bust! This left the door wide open for several of the chasing pack – but it was Northern Monkey with Port Vale who carpe’d the diem with two goals against Accrington Stanley to take them to exactly 21.
Congratulations to Doug – I’ll be in touch shortly to arrange the relevant details.
With just 4 weeks left in the season there seems little point in starting a fourth game – especially as I’d be struggling to get anything organised for this weekend anyway – so the next game will be at the start of next season and will hopefully feature League One teams!
Thanks to all of you for taking part – and congratulations once again to Richard Llanwarne, Jock Shot and Northern Monkey who were this season’s winners. Thanks again also to both Richard for auctioning his shares and to DAVE AT HARLOW who won the subsequent auction.

On Saturday April 3rd the server where my website is hosted was the victim of an attack by malware hackers. As a result of this various parts of my site were tampered with in an attempt to affect my visitors with malware.

Pontoon Game 3 – a little later
Last weekend’s fixtures made up Week 7 of Pontoon Game 3 – and we’re heading for an exciting finish. Current joint leaders are Richard Llanwarne (Burton Albion) and DAVE AT HARLOW (Notts County) on 16, 3 ahead of Northern Monkey (Port Vale) and riseoftheshots (Rochdale) – but there are still plenty of others in with a chance. But probably not Mike Wray (Bury). Never mind.
Pontoon Game 3 – 5 weeks in
Yesterday’s fixtures made up Week 5 of Pontoon Game 3 – and it’s DAVE AT HARLOW who leads the way courtesy of Notts County and their 13 goals. Closest opposition at the moment comes from Richard Llanwarne (Burton Albion – grrrrrr!!!!) and Stenhouse (Northampton) on 9.
Don’t forget – midweek games don’t count unless there’s a full set of fixtures so the next relevant action is next weekend.
Pontoon Game 3 – Off and running!
Three games in and Richard Llanwarne (Burton Albion) is the early leader with 7 goals to his name.
Midweek games this week did count as a full schedule was planned. Unfortunately a couple of games were postponed so the relevant people scored the default 2 goals (highlighted in the table).
Unfortunately our game wasn’t postponed.

World Cup 2010 – Let’s get this party started!
OK – the first matches are now barely 5 months away and it’s time to start up the World Cup hype machine. We all have to do our part – so I’m doing mine by opening up the World Cup Challenge 2010 for registrations. Woo-hoo! Entry costs a mere twenty quid and I also accept payment in Euros, US Dollars, Green Shield Stamps and shiny coloured glass beads. You can register here – but only if you really want to! Pontoon Game 3
Apologies to those of you eagerly awaiting the start of Pontoon Game Three but I haven’t had the time to sort things out this week so will postpone this until after Christmas/New Year – probably starting on January 9th. Given the weather that may not be a bad thing anyway!

Well – isn’t it a funny old game? And, no – I’m not talking about the comedy of errors at Burton yesterday! After it’s looked nailed on for weeks that Chesterfield would reach 21 first on behalf of calltheshots, along come Morecambe with a nap-hand and it’s jock shot who ends up with the 100 shares!
